| In December 2006, Coway formed a partnership with Seoul National University (SNU), a
top ranking university in Korea, to further develop innovative products utilizing both
industry and academic knowledge. From this year through 2022, Coway will provide
KRW 500 million (USD 537,000) annually to fund research projects through this
partnership. Professors and students will have opportunities to participate in a variety of
projects on subjects including human sensory ergonomics and robotics technology. |

| In February 2008, Woongjin Coway completed construction of the ‘Woongjin Coway R&D
Center’. Last year, Coway invested approximately KRW 32.2 billion in R&D. (spending for
Woongjin R&D Center in 2007 were not included) In 2008, Coway invested KRW 39.5
billion in R&D in spite of recessions. |
